Smoke in the North är Sveriges största barbecuetävling inom organisationen KCBS som anordnas av Slow Joe BBQ. Den håller till på Åkulla Outdoor Resort, och det kommer tävlande från världen över för att grilla sin fantastiska mat.

Smoke in the North 2025
For the third year in a row at Åkulla Outdoor Resort, and for the seventh time in Sweden, Smoke in the North (SITN) will take place on August 22-23, 2025. SITN is organized by Slow Joe BBQ and is sanctioned by KCBS, one of the world’s largest and most respected BBQ organizations, where teams compete in ribs, chicken, pork, and brisket.
As part of the Åkulla BBQ Festival, Swedish and international teams will battle to become the Grand Champion of 2025. The best Swedish team will earn the opportunity to represent Sweden at the Jack Daniels Invitational in Tennessee in 2026.

Hamburgartävling kl. 15:00 – Vem blir Varbergs mästare i hamburgare? Har du vad som krävs för att skapa den perfekta burgaren?
Kl. 15:00 drar vår öppna hamburgartävling igång – där vem som helst kan ställa upp och tävla om titeln Varbergs Mästare i Hamburgare 2025! Tävlingen är prestigefylld, rolig och full av smak.
Vinn ära, pokal – och en riktigt mätt publik. 
Tävlingen sponsras av ICA Varberg.
