Teams
Welcome Teams to Smoke in the North 2026!
Dear Team, We’re thrilled to welcome you to Smoke in the North 2026 – one of Europe’s most exciting BBQ competitions, proudly sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS). It’s an honor to have you with us at Borås Camping, and we’re looking forward to an unforgettable weekend filled with smoke, flavor, friendship, and fierce (but friendly) competition. Please read the information below carefully to ensure a smooth and successful event for everyone.
Check-In & Site Setup
Upon arrival, check in at the Information Tent. Do not drive into the competition area before receiving clearance from staff. Each team is allocated a 3 × 6 meter space for tents and equipment. Grills must be placed within your designated area or directly in front of your tent. A minimum of 3 meters between tents is required for fire safety – this will be strictly enforced.
Parking & Vehicles
Vehicles and trailers must be parked in the designated parking area in front of the competition zone. Only pre-approved vehicles may remain on-site after unloading. Please follow all instructions from staff to keep the area safe and organized.
Deposit
A deposit of 500 SEK or €50 is required at check-in. The deposit will be refunded upon departure if your team area is clean and restored to its original condition.
